Microlink 1500: Distributed Measurement and Control

The Microlink 1500 Series is a modular system for industrial distributed measurement and control. Each 1500 unit can pack 32 input/output channels into a compact DIN Rail housing, offering expansion capability and reliablity at an affordable price.

Each 1500 Series Station is linked to a host PC over a multidropped RS485 interface. A station includes at least one unit with an intelligent control card, and, optionally, slaves linked to this master unit. Up to 32 stations can be connected to the RS485 cable, and each station can contain up to 8 modules.

1500 Modules

A range of modules are available to the 1500 stations.

• The 151x range provides digital inputs and outputs
• The 1520 provides 16-bit counters
• The 153x range provides analogue voltage and current outputs
• The 155x range provides analogue inputs (voltage, current, resistance, thermocouples)
• The 150x range provides isolated digital I/O and analogue inputs

Choice of Software

You can control the Microlink 1500 with Windmill, SCAN1000 or Excel software. Alternatively you can program the Microlink yourself: ask for our programming manuals and example programs.

Windmill

A suite of software that's ideal for quickly setting up a measurement and control system: includes charting, logging, display and control applications.

SCAN1000

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software.

Excel

A spreadsheet for real-time analysis and control. Used with the Microlink 1500 via Windmill.
