With a RSS news feed you can receive live updates of all the data acquisition and control news. How you receive the news is up to you. You can choose to embed it into your own web pages, read it over the internet, use a special software application

Embedding News into your own Web pages

Just copy the javascript code below and paste it into one of your web pages. Shortly after news is added, it will appear on your site like in the box to the right. (If you would prefer to use php code, see below.)

If you would prefer a different look, just edit the javascript code.

To show more headlines edit &num=5
For a different text size edit &font_size=10
To open links in a new window, change the 0 to 1 in link_openblank=0"
To remove the descriptions below the headlines, change &desc=1 to &desc=0
To change the length of the descriptions, change &desc_max=60
To change the size of the text, change &font_size=10 (or, to set the text size to that of your stylesheet, delete &font_size=10)
To change the colour of the text, change &fgcolor=000000 (or, to set the colour to that of your stylesheet, delete &fgcolor=000000)

The example above uses Javascript. If you wish you can instead use PHP. Copy the code and paste into your php web page.

Using an Internet News Reader

With an Internet News Reader, you use a web browser to see your selected news feeds. There are several companies offering this service. For example, if you have a myYahoo account, you can add news feeds to your page there - click http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://www.windmillsoft.com/monitor.xml
